Breakfast on the pier and a chat in a classroom about ethics were just part of the new Bishop of Dover's busy trip to the Deal area.
The Right Rev Trevor Willmott also spent St George's Day meeting church people, attending a service and also an Any Questions event.
After breakfast on the pier the Bishop described the view as "one of the most beautiful in Kent."
The meal was followed by a visit to Castle Community College, Mill Road, to meet head teacher Christine Chapman and discuss euthanasia with pupils in Year 11.
He said: "The school is doing marvellous work raising standards for young people and it is clear from talking to pupils at this school that they are valued and happy.
"I enjoyed immensely my discussions with the students and I was impressed by their maturity and their sense of responsibility for society."
