Dover Athletic will be spurred on by a fierce sense of injustice when they entertain Eastleigh on Saturday.

Whites have climbed to sixth in the table and a four-game unbeaten run has given them momentum in their bid to break into the play-off spots.

Manager Nicky Forster (pictured) was delighted by his side’s display at Eastbourne on Bank Holiday Monday but furious at the performance of the referee, who allowed Gary Hart’s first goal to stand despite what he felt was a "blatant" offside.

Admitting the 2-2 draw felt like a defeat, Forster was left with mixed feelings at full-time. He said: "I don’t like to be overly critical of referees because it’s a tough job but this referee was particularly poor.

"It wasn’t one decision, it was a catalogue of decisions that weren’t picked up on. We came away after a good performance but it felt like a defeat. That would have nicely closed the gap to the teams above us but there were far more positives than negatives.

Dover have won only four times in 11 attempts at Crabble and Forster believes Eastleigh, who sit 11th, will present a sterner test than their league position suggests.

He said: "We’ve got to get a winning momentum at home and we’ve now got a big game against an Eastleigh side who have turned into big-spenders. In the last few weeks, they’ve improved the squad. They’ve been splashing out a little bit of money and with that calibre of player, they will have a better team."

Other than long-term injury victim Steven Watt, Forster welcomes back a fully-fit squad for training on Thursday.
