PawFest at Betteshanger Country Park in Deal this September

One of the UK's biggest dog shows is dropping right on Kent's doorstep this September.
PawFest will be in Betteshanger Country Park in Deal this autumn and is expected to attract over 8,000 visitors.
Owners can enjoy a pawfect day of walking around the beautiful park, watching the UK's best top dog shows and entering their own furry friends into the best in show competitions.
Other great activities will include an exploration of Liberty’s Pet Services’ new day care facilities, animal first aid courses with expert veterinary surgeons and demonstrations for the latest animal laser treatments for boosting canine wellness from White Cliffs Veterinary Practice.
Some of the top national pet brands will also be setting up stalls for browsing and shopping - including Hugo & Ted, Bailey’s Paws, Deal Doggies Bake House, and Crystal Memories Photography.
Stuart O’Leary, Head of Betteshanger Country Park, said: “We are beyond excited to bring our first PawFest to life in September.
"We have worked closely with the team at Liberty’s Pet Services to create a fun and educational event that coaches owners about the wellbeing of canines all whilst offering a fun-filled barking day out for the whole family.
"We look forward to hosting up to 10,000 visitors and 8,000 dogs for an event that will offer an unrivalled experience for every dog lover out there.
“We can assure visitors that the event will adhere to the latest Covid-19 restrictions and social distancing advice.”
Stacy Hanley, owner at Liberty’s Pet Services which is setting up the show in partnership with PawFest, added: “At Liberty’s Pet Services we are dedicated in focusing on the wellbeing of all dogs and their owners that attend PawFest, whilst creating a fun filled day out for all the family to enjoy.
"PawFest will give pet owners alike the chance to come together and experience our new dog day care facilities, spoil their fur babies with treats from leading and local businesses, participate in fun competitions and activities, and explore the impressive grounds and facilities at Betteshanger Country Park.”
The show will begin on September 4, 2021 and tickets went on sale on Sunday, March 28 - so get them while you can.
