Border Force officers have seized approximately nine kilos of amphetamine with a potential street value of £360,000 at Dover docks.
The drugs were discovered on Saturday when officers stopped and searched a Polish-registered car. The amphetamine was found within the vehicle’s chassis.
The case has been passed to the National Crime Agency for further investigation. The two occupants of the car, both from Poland, have been bailed pending further enquiries.
Paul Morgan, Director of Border Force South East and Europe said: “Border Force officers are on constant alert to keep illegal drugs and other banned substances out of the UK.
“Anyone with information about activity they suspect may be linked to smuggling should call the smuggling Hotline on 0800 59 5000.”
