Tides Leisure Pool in Deal was evacuated on Friday, August 21, because of a chemical spill in a downstairs toilet.
Four fire appliances were called to the scene, with crews wearing breathing apparatus ventilating the area.
This is the second time in recent months that the centre has been evacuated and out of action during a busy school holiday. A fire in the sauna devastated the health suite in April.
Vista Leisure business development manager Kelvin Clapson said the gas detection system at Tides was extremely sensitive.
He said: "It was something and nothing really. The centre was reopened in 90 minutes."
Firefighters liaised with the Environment Agency and Southern Water for advice on the clean up. Nobody was hurt.
