Deal pub The Farrier will hold a fun day tomorrow (Saturday) in aid of Multiple Sclerosis research.

Landlord Dayle Melody, 41, is hosting the fundraiser which includes live music, a barbecue and a 12 hour dart-a-thon.

It is prompted by the diagnosis of Scott Parker, 25, of St Richard’s Road, who was told he has the condition a couple of years ago.

His father Terry, 55, of Clarke’s Close, plays for the Manor Road pub’s darts and pool team.

Mr Melody, who in March took over what was the former Admiral Keppel and renamed it The Farrier after his grandfather’s profession, wanted to show his support.

He runs the bar with wife Donna, 40, and the pair are keen to gather support in footfall and participants in the dart-a-thon. Proceeds go to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

It takes place from 11am until 11pm and live music sets come from easy listening soloists Andy Miles and Cameron Stenhouse.

To pledge money, call the Farrier on 01304 360080.
