Youngsters are invited to help decorate a giant Christmas tree outside a village pub.

Dan and Toni Johnson of The Rising Sun in Kingsdown roped in six locals to help put up the 24ft super spruce, which is raising money for Kingsdown Pre-school's new build.

It has since been adorned with festive lights and covered in baubles.

"But there's always room for more", said landlord Mr Johnson.

It is the third year the pub near Deal has organised the charitable event.

Mr Johnson added: "We've had an amazing response so far.

"We're asking people for a minimum donation of £1. We're looking to have raised about £500."

People can hang their own decoration or collect one from inside the pub.

The tree was supplied and delivered by Courtlands Farm in Barham.
