Children in Need: Pudsey’s surprise visit to St Mary’s Catholic Primary School in Deal
00:04, 18 November 2016
The real Pudsey made a surprise visit to St Mary’s Catholic Primary School in Deal on Tuesday ahead of tonight’s Children in Need annual appeal.
The school was the lucky winner of a Lloyds Bank competition.
The children, who had not been told, smiled with genuine surprise when the big yellow teddy bear visited their classrooms.
Head teacher Karen Riddell said: “We really enjoyed the visit from Pudsey and all the children were very excited to see him.
“They all had lots of questions for him such as ‘Why do you have a patch on one eye?’, ‘Why are you yellow?’, ‘How old are you’, and where do you live?’.
“Pudsey was great fun and even did some dancing with Class 2.”
The whole school is wearing something spotty today to raise money for Children in Need, a charity which it supports every year.
Pudsey kindly left a Pudsey headband, a Pudsey teddy and a Blush teddy (Pudsey’s girlfriend) which will be raffled in school the same day.
