Robbery in Dover

A woman was knocked unconscious during a raid at a bookmakers shop in Dover.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the robbery, which took place at a business in Cannon Street on Thurday between noon and 12.30pm.
Rosy Alexander, from the police press office, said: "During the incident a 21 year-local woman who worked at the bookmakers was struck on her head and lost consciousness for a short time. It is believed during this time a quantity of cash was stolen."
The woman was taken to the William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, and was treated for a minor head injury.
Police would like to speak to anyone who has information about the robbery.
