Sandwich man given ASBO

A 43-year-old man from Sandwich has been issued with an Anti-Social Behaviour Order which bans him from being drunk and disorderly in the Dover district.

Steve Broome, of no fixed address, was issued with the ASBO at Folkestone Magistrates Court on November 6where he was answering a charge of criminal damage to the windows of the Co-Op in Moat Sole, Sandwich. He was also answering two charges of theft from local shops.

The conditions of the ASBO, which is for a period of two years, prohibit Broome from acting in a manner that causes or is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to any person not of the same household as himself, and being drunk and disorderly in a public place within the local authority area of Dover district.
