A vandal has defaced a part of the new sea wall on Deal seafront, causing upset to residents.
The act of vandalism is believed to have taken place on Tuesday night.
Susan Clifford, of Dover Road, Walmer has called the vandal “mindless.”
Mrs Clifford, 59, passes the area everyday, either on her bicycle or in the car. She said: “I was disgusted. I suppose a lot of people would feel the same way.
“I’m angry. What mindless vandal did this? I just can’t believe they would do it.
"The sea wall is pleasant, it has improved the area. Deal is a nice place to visit but this gives a bad impression of the town.”
