Seeing double at Fashion Week

Twins from Dover who have been described as like “porcelain dolls” are making a name for themselves at London Fashion Week.
May and Ruth Bell were chosen by designers Markus Lupfer and, ironically, Sister by Sibling, to model some of their clothes for the spring/summer collection catwalk shows at the Fashion Week.
May and Ruth, who are 17 and live at Kingsdown, are both studying for their A-levels at Dover Girls’ Grammar School. Last year Ruth gained six A* and six A grades at GCSE as well as one AS-level, while May achieved seven A* and three A grades and 2 AS-levels.
It follows the girls’ success in the Elite Model Look UK competition in which May was named top girl. She won a contract with Elite and is preparing for the Elite Model Look world final on November 27, a global event that could result in an international modelling contract.
Influential modelling organisation Style.com is impressed with the girls. Describing them as “our ethereal twins”, they say they are like porcelain dolls with flawless skin, ash-blond hair and delicate features.
“They look almost other-worldly and are captivating both on the catwalk and in front of the camera.”
The girls have also been modelling for Topshop.
