Officers have uncovered a significant amount of cash following a stop-and-search.
Thought to be more than £100,000, the money – which is enough to fill seven evidence bags – was found when police halted a driver in Deal yesterday evening.
The driver, who was stopped in Mongeham Road, was arrested on suspicion of money laundering.
He is now in custody.
Police are applying for the cash to be seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
If found to be illegal, the force will receive a share of the cash.
