Stolen car found torched in Goretop Lane, Worth

Police are investigating after a stolen car was found torched in Worth, last night.
Firefighters were called to Goretop Lane at 7.10pm where a Mazda, which had been reported stolen from Birdwood Avenue in Deal, was on fire.
Jaimie Dodd, of the crew, said: “We couldn’t recognise the colour of it, it was totally burnt out.
“It looked like it had been driven to a country lane, left on a verge and set alight.
“We referred it to the police.”
The crew left the scene at 8pm after extinguishing the vehicle blaze.
A spokesman for Kent Police said: “We are investigating after a Mazda car reported stolen from an address in Birdwood Avenue, Deal last night was found burnt out in Goretop Lane, Worth.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Eileen Dodd on 101 quoting crime ref: ZY/784/16.
“Alternatively Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
