Probe launched after brakes cut on car in Hunters Walk, Deal

Neighbours have been left shaken after an elderly couple discovered the brakes on their car had been cut.

Police are investigating after the vehicle was damaged at nighttime on a residential street in Deal.

A family member shared details of the "terrifying" damage on Facebook following the incident in Hunters Walk last Wednesday.

"At some point during the night my grandparents had the brakes cut on their car," she said.

"What on earth is wrong with people?"

The post sparked a furious reaction by many of the area's residents.

One neighbour said: "This is absolutely disgusting, what is wrong with people?"

Another added: "The mindless vandalism is a huge problem in Deal."

Officers investigating the incident – which happened between 10pm on Wednesday April 6 and 7am the following day – are appealing for anyone with information to get in contact.
