'Swift action' by Dover District Council as unauthorised encampment moves on from Tides Leisure Centre in Deal

A council has acted swiftly to remove an unauthorised encampment in a swimming pool car park in Deal .
Three vehicles equipped for living arrived at Tides Leisure Centre in Park Avenue overnight.
But within hours of being served notice by Dover District Council this morning, the small group had moved on.
Dover District Council posted: "We responded promptly this morning to an unauthorised encampment in the car park at Tides Leisure Centre in Deal.
"Notices were served and the area is now clear."
Residents have applauded the authority's quick intervention.
Augusta Pearson posted: "Good to see it was dealt with promptly."
Bill Hollow said: "Well done, swift action."
