Tactical changes paying off for Dover Athletic, says Jon Wallis

Midfielder Jon Wallis has praised Dover Athletic boss Martin Hayes for a tactical change that has paid dividends.
Dover picked up maximum points from just two of their following eight Blue Square Bet South fixtures but they have won four and claimed a draw from their last five to put them back on course for a play-off place.
Wallis (pictured) said: "We were playing 4-4-2 but instead of changing the personnel, the manager looked at changes elsewhere.
"With three in midfield and two either playing high wide or up front, we’re now putting a run of results together.
"We’ve worked on the system and the shape at the training ground and it has opened up everyone’s eyes. We are climbing the ladder now."

Wallis was pleased to see Hayes get his reward for what has so far been a good season by being offered a new deal.
He said: "It was tough at first as he came in late but he’s brought in a few faces and a few have gone and we are now finding stability in the squad.
"We are a confident team now and have a good chance of finishing really high in the play-offs. That’s what we are aiming for."
