A travel company is offering free lifts to the elderly during this week's snow chaos.
With around six drivers and a couple of 4x4 vehicles going spare due to cancellations, Bayliss Executive Travel based in Deal has pledged its help to those in need.
Since announcing the gesture of goodwill on its Facebook this morning, staff have already received a numbers of calls.
Driver Rob Marriott has already transported an elderly man to a bank in Deal.
The company has also agreed to take an elderly woman to her hospital appointment in Canterbury tomorrow.
Managing director Alistair Bayliss told KentOnline said: "We've had about half a dozen jobs cancelled this week, mostly schools trips to London, so the guys are kicking their heels in our premisses.
"We sat down this morning and I suggested rather than sitting around twiddling our thumbs, we should put something out there to help local people.
"Everyone said they thought it was great and we've had a few calls."
Drivers who would usually be off have also phoned in to say they would offer their services too.
Speaking of his team, Mr Bayliss said: "They've been immense.
"It's just about trying to help people as it's so cold out there!"
They are offering free trips for the elderly around Deal, Dover and Sandwich.
Those in need can call Rob on 01304 363600.
