Three people were taken to hospital following a two car crash on a a busy seafront road.

Police, ambulance and fire crews were called to the scene in The Strand, Walmer, this morning.

The accident, which closed the road in both directions, involved a Fiat Panda and a Renault.

Lorries too big to take a redirected route had to wait until the road was cleared.
