A Church of England vicar from Dover joins a witch, an eccentric pensioner and a businessman to compete for a £1,000 prize in a television cookery competition.

Rev. Andy Bawtree, vicar of River, will be featured in Come Dine With Me to be televised tomorrow evening on Channel 4 at 8pm.

Mr Bawtree is one of four cooks from the Dover and Folkestone area who have to host a dinner party with a theme and then give each other points for the menu, food and hospitality.

The programme, which was filmed over the course of a week, features 70-year-old Janet Cripps, self-confessed witch Lisa Mansfield, and businessman John George as well as Mr Bawtree.

Between them, they come up with a 50s night, some saucy talk and physical exchanges over dessert, a Downton Abbey dress code, an Abba tribute band, and a cowboy song.
