Cheaper travel, increased leisure facilities and a more positive image for young people are among the issues local youngsters are campaigning on in Kent Youth County Council elections.
Voting is taking place this week at polling stations around the district, and results will be announced on Saturday, November 28.
Five young people from Dover, Deal and Sandwich are standing for election.
The youth county council is a non-party political organisation, focusing on the issues of young people.
Those standing in this area are Beth Hughes, 13, Amelia Jamieson, Jasmin Mumford and Stacey Stephens, all 14, and 18-year-old Danny Lee.
KYCC members work closely with officers and elected members of the KCC, informing them of young people’s issues and concerns.
