Walmer Cricket Club all out for only 11 runs against Dartfordians in Kent Regional League

Walmer Cricket Club are still reeling from the embarrassment of being bowled out for just 11 runs on Saturday.
Playing at Dartfordians in the Kent Regional League Premier Division, they were put in after losing the toss and 10.4 overs later, their innings was over.
Eight players registered ducks as Dartfordian bowlers Simon Harman (7-4) and Kevin Cullern (3-7) wreaked havoc.
Opener Laurence Marsh finished top scorer with nine to ensure the Hull Park side at least reached double figures but it wasn’t enough to save them from an unwanted place in the league’s record books.
Peter Robinson, the league secretary, said: "I’m not able to say for sure but I can’t imagine any team has ever scored less than 11."
Walmer chairman Paul Button (pictured) was putting on a brave face this week, saying: "I’ve taken a fair bit of stick from other clubs but I’m trying to take it in good spirit. I have been associated with Walmer for nearly 20 years and I can’t remember anything like this happening before.
"I could wheel out excuses such as we haven’t had much chance to practice recently because of the weather or that some key players were missing, but we have just got to hold our hands up.
"As I wasn’t there, I don’t know whether it was down to dismal batting, brilliant bowling, a poor pitch or a combination of all three."
