Warning after three handbags are stolen

Women shoppers in Dover are being urged to make sure their handbags are secure at all times following three thefts in the town on Thursday afternoon, July 1.

The first was from the the Duke of York restaurant at Guston between 12.30 and 12.45 pm.

At 1.10pm an 80-year-old woman had hers stolen near Lloyds TSB in Biggin Street, Dover and an hour later another elderly woman had her handbag taken after she left it unattended on a table in a café in Biggin Street.

Two middle-aged white English men were seen acting suspiciously and it is thought they may be responsible for all three thefts.
