The Old Corporation Yard in Deal to go under the hammer
16:32, 14 March 2017
A site with permission for use for waste transfer is going under the hammer.
The Old Corporation Yard in Western Road, Deal, has a freehold guide price of £200,000 to £210,000.
It has a certificate of lawful development for waste transfer, granted by Dover District Council in 1995.
This allows for waste to be stored before it is moved for disposal of or recycling.
It is among 148 lots listed for sale by Clive Emson, the land and property auctioneers, ahead of its next sale on Monday, March 20.
Kevin Gilbert, auctioneer, said: “The site is to the rear of residential properties and to the east of a railway line and is next to a small enterprise zone.
“Clearly there will be those in the waste business who might see an opportunity here, but it may also offer potential for alternative uses, subject to all the necessary consents being obtainable.”
This next sale is the second of eight this year and takes place on Monday, March 20, at The Clive Emson Conference Centre in Detling, Maidstone, from 11am.
