Dover Athletic boss Chris Kinnear will not be taking FA Cup opponents AFC Rushden & Diamonds lightly

Dover Athletic will be looking to avoid an FA Cup slip-up when resurgent AFC Rushden & Diamonds visit Crabble in the third qualifying round this weekend.
The phoenix club from Northamptonshire stunned Cambridge City in the previous round and will make even bigger headlines if they take Dover’s scalp.
Set up by supporters following the demise of the original Rushden & Diamonds in 2011, they were promoted in their first season and now play in the United Counties League, Premier Division.
Dover go into the tie 69 places above the Diamonds but having been given a scare by Guernsey in the previous round, manager Chris Kinnear is wary of an upset.
He said: “They’ll play with confidence, they’ll work hard and they’ll make it difficult for us. If we were playing a side from a couple of leagues higher, it would be exactly the same.
“They’ve got a massive history. It won’t be easy. They’ve not lost many games and they’ve got a guy (Russ Dunkley) who’s scored 14 goals with a lot of experience.”
Dover are looking to record a fifth straight win, having beaten Dorchester 1-0 on Saturday to make it back-to-back Skrill South victories.
