THE devastated parents of a Kent man killed in the terrorist attack in Bali say they are struggling to come to terms with the news of his death.

Christian Redman, 30, a former student of the Duke of York's Royal Military School, Dover, who had moved to Singapore, died outside the nightclub on the Indonesian island on Saturday.

He was visiting the island for a rugby 10s tournament between teams from Far East including from Indonesia, Australia, and Hong Kong.

Christian is the second Kent man known to have died in the outrage. Paul Hussey, 46, from Folkestone, who managed two hotels in Kuta, also perished. At one time Mr Hussey had been a student at Thanet College Catering School at Broadstairs.

Christian was the manager of the rugby team attached to the Singapore Cricket Club. His parents, John and Jean Redman, live at The Droveway, St Margaret's, near Deal. His mother said: "He was a gorgeous guy, a fun loving vibrant, enthusiastic person. A really popular guy, and full of energy."

His father said: "He was a real action man. He had friends all over the world and he hooked up with them to go on this fateful tour. He loved travelling, skiing, sailing, anything with action. He loved the army as well, but the Far East called."

Christian's parents visited him in Singapore regularly and were looking forward to seeing him again in a two-week holiday this winter. Christian's last trip home was this summer.
