Armed trio attack lorry driver in lay-by

POLICE have issued an appeal for information after a German lorry driver was attacked and left unconscious. The victim was assaulted and robbed in a lay-by three and a half miles out of Dover on the A20.
He was approached by three men of Eastern European appearance. They were armed with guns. A police spokesman said: "The males were described as Romanian and were of large build and appeared edgy and nervous. One had a distinctive scar from the corner of his right eye to his ear.
"These men used a light blue Fiat van with a yellow stripe along the side and a CZ sticker on the left side door."
The attack happened at about 6am on Monday, February 25. His wallet and some cash was stolen and he was treated in hospital.
