Man taken to hospital after seafront robbery in Marine Parade, Dover

A man was taken to hospital and a suspect arrested following a seafront robbery.
Police were called at about 5am on October 10 to reports a man had been assaulted and had money stolen from him in Marine Parade, Dover.
He suffered head injuries in the attack and was taken to hospital.
Later that same day, after making inquiries, a foot patrol officer spotted a man who matched the description of a suspect in Pencester Gardens.
The 27-year-old of no fixed address was arrested in connection with the robbery and for separate shoplifting and card fraud matters.
A police spokesman added: “He has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
