Barclays Bank in Dover closes today.
It reflects a continuing trend of branches shutting down as more customers switch to internet banking.
The bank says it has seen a huge fall in counter transactions and reduced numbers of people using branches solely for their personal or business banking.
Just 77 customers use the Market Square branch exclusively for all their banking.
It was also found that 87% use other banking method, such as telephone and online and 24% visit other branches.
The nearest alternative Barclays branches are at Broad Street, Deal, and Sandgate Road, Folkestone.
The National Federation of Subpostmasters says that it can provide alternative banking within Dover.
A spokesman said: "The closure will doubtless be disappointing to Barclays customers. However, alternative banking provision is available to local residents at post office branches nearby."
The nearest Post Office to the closing Barclays Bank is Dover PO in Biggin Street.
There is also the Buckland branch in London Road and the Crabble one at Buckland Avenue.
All three offer banking services including deposits, free cash withdrawals and balance checks.
They also offer face to face access to government services, bill payment, foreign currency, travel insurance and postal services.
There are currently 2,000 free-to-use ATMs installed across the UK Post Office network.
