This stunning view is seen by the photographer who took it as a beacon of hope in the pandemic nightmare.
Robert Guest got this night time shot of the Dover Patrol Memorial, outside St Margaret's-at-Cliffe.
The photograph was perfectly timed and framed so that the moon can be seen shining from behind the top of the monument.
Mr Guest, who has taken up astrophotography as a hobby, said: "I thought of this as a beacon of light as the end of the lockdown is in sight."
Coronavirus has gripped the entire world for the last 12 months but infection and death rates in the UK are at last falling and the vaccination programme is steaming ahead,
Last month Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a road map out of lockdown, which started with schools reopening on March 8.
The last restrictions ends on June 21 when large events can go ahead and nightclubs can open.
All dates for the gradual lifting of the lockdown are subject to sufficient progress in the reduction of Covid-19 cases
