Friends, loved ones and supporters of Kelly Turner will be able to pay their last respects to her next week.
And mourners at the funeral are being asked to dress in bright colours to celebrate her life.
It takes place at St Mary the Virgin Church in the town’s Cannon Street, from 11am on Friday, November 24, and all are welcome there.
This will be followed by a private service at Barham Crematorium for family and close friends only.
A wake takes place, again for the public, at Dover Town Hall from 1.30pm.
The family has asked mourners not to give flowers but to donate for the planned Kelly Turner Foundation, which will help other victims of the type of cancer Kelly had.
Dad Martin Turner said: “Kelly had never been into black. She always loved bright colours so we ask people to wear those.
“Even the bells at the church will be rung before the service, loud like at a wedding.
“We feel lucky that she was with us for those 17 years.
"We want that day to be a celebration of Kelly’s life more than a tragic loss, which it is.”
Kelly died on Monday last week after a two-year battle with a rare teenage cancer called desmoplastic small round cell tumours.
Her passing has caused an outpouring of grief in the Dover area as masses of local people worked for 17 months to raise £1 million to save her life with specialist treatment in America.
More than £600,000 was generated in her lifetime and that sum, with more being raised, will go towards research into chemotherapy for this type of cancer as none at present is available.
Donations can be made via the JustGiving page here.
