Car written off and abandoned after night-time tree smash in Eythorne near Dover

A car has been mysteriously abandoned after suffering extensive damage.
A homeowner on Wigmore Lane in Eythorne, near Dover , woke to find it in the drive leading to their gate.
The car had a shattered back window, dangling wing mirror and a crumpled chassis when it was discovered.
The owner has not yet been identified, with the drivers having run away.
A police spokesman said: "At 11.53am today, we received a report that a car had been in collision with trees in Wigmore Lane, Eythorne.
"The incident itself took place earlier in the morning and the vehicle involved is reported to have been abandoned.
"Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing."
