Firefighters from Dover and Folkestone were called to a car alight at a property on the Alkham Valley Road, Dover yesterday (Friday).
The alarm was raised at about 11.30am and the two crews used hose reel jets and breathing apparatus to bring the flames under control.
The vehicle was parked on the drive of the property.
A spokesman from Kent Fire and Rescue said the cause of ignition was unknown but it was thought to be accidental.
Kent Police attended to manage traffic but the road was not closed.
