A car became stuck on the beach and trapped in the sea.
The Lexus appears to have been abandoned last night along Dover beach after getting stuck in the shingle.
Photos from yesterday show a small boat in the water close to the car.
This morning, police are at the scene and have cordoned off a section of the beach.
The vehicle is pictured half in the water.
Work is now underway to remove the car and a tow truck has arrived.
This is not the first time this has happened on Kent's beaches.
In April, a car ended up submerged in water after it was swallowed up by the sea at Whitstable.
Another car was lost to the sea at Dymchurch last summer.
