Two men have been arrested in connection with thefts of charity collection boxes for a teenager with cancer.
Craig Dunn, 25, of Westbury Road, Dover, was taken into custody yesterday accused of stealing approximately £50 worth of donations from the Dovorian Restaurant in Priory Place.
The alleged theft happened on Wednesday, September 6.
He has now been charged with one count of theft and was due to appear before Medway magistrates today.
Officers continue to investigate a number of other charity collection box thefts reported in Dover and as part of their enquiries have arrested a second man.
The 33-year-old, who is of no fixed address, remains in custody.
A total of four charity tins were stolen from take-away outlets in Dover between September 6 and last Tuesday.
They are raising money for Kelly Turner, a 17-year-old from Dover who needs £1 million for specialist treatment in America for a rare form of cancer.
