Two men charged with the manslaughter of a chef found wrapped in cling film are to stand trial.
Richard Bowler, 35, and David Connor, 22, both of Sturry Road, Canterbury, appeared before magistrates yesterday accused of killing Alun Williams.
They were bailed until the end of this month to appear at Maidstone Crown Court.
The 47-year-old was found dead in Connor’s flat above a hairdressers’ in East Street, Dover, on August 20 last year following what is believed to have been a sex game gone wrong.
A large-scale police operation was launched with forensics officers swarming the area to gather evidence.
Mr Williams - who lived with his girlfriend in Shepherdswell - worked as a chef at P&O Ferries for 30 years and prepared food for passengers on trips between Dover and Calais.
