A group of caravans have been spotted on Willingdon Road in Whitfield.
Pictures of the mobile homes were posted on Facebook by nearby resident, Emma Taylor, who has raised her concerns.
Ms Taylor, 34, of Aspen Drive, said: “Irish travellers have descended on our quiet estate broken through the barrier by the Old Dover Harbour Board club and have set up camp with their mobile homes and caravans, loud dogs and generators going.
“Police were called last night as three of them were on my drive looking in my car windows.
“How can they be moved on as rubbish everywhere and it’s private land they are on, we pay service charges for the upkeep around there too.”
Kent Police confirmed officers have been in attendance to provide reassurance and also confirmed the travellers are on private land.
