A Jamaican restaurant and takeaway is expanding by opening its second outlet in the same town.
The man behind Jerk 'n' Tingz, based in London Road, Dover, has announced it will also have a place at the St James' Retail and Leisure Park.
Owner and chef Matthew Omo-Bare said in a post on Facebook: "We are all so excited to finally announce we are moving.
"We have a new premises in St. James'.
"This explains why we have been a little quiet and very inconsistent with opening.
"Thank you to all our loyal customers who have stuck by us, without you this move wouldn’t be possible."
The St James' branch will be a sit-down restaurant only, with takeaway available for collection.
The London Road site will then be solely for deliveries.
The opening date at St James' has not yet been confirmed but the London Road base will re-open from Thursday, September 1.
The post on Facebook about the expansion attracted nearly 500 comments from customers, and over 100 comments.
One customer said: "Awesome news bro well done.
"Wish you all the best. Can't wait for it to open I will be there for some of your famous BBQ chicken."
Another said: "Super well deserved! Looking forward to seeing the new restaurant in person!"
Jerk n’ Tingz was founded by Mr Omo-Bare Bare in 2018.
It started off as a Caribbean frozen food delivery service in Kent and the following year the London Road outlet was opened.
The restaurant has been popular with the town's community since and there was a swell of support for it when it was vandalised in April 2021 with racist graffiti daubed on it.
When Jerk 'n' Tingz announced the incident on Facebook the post got more than 600 likes and furious comments condemning the attack.
It is the second new restaurant announced this month for St James'.
German Doner Kebab is opening its outlet next month at the retail park in Dover town centre.
They will join Nando's, Burger King and Kaspas at the shopping centre, which is also home to M&S Food Hall, Next, Greggs, a cinema and a gym.
