A young man has been flown to hospital after falling down steps on the cliffs between St Margaret's and Dover.
The man, in his 20s, has suffered a suspected broken leg and pelvic injuries.
Dover and Walmer RNLI lifeboats were at the scene from 5.30am for several hours.
The man was flown to the QEQM Hospital in Margate.
Coastguard watch officer John Brewin said: "Coastal walkers are always at risk when we have had a lot of rain.
"Wet chalk is very slippery and extra care should be taken in these weather conditions."
