A PASSENGER on board a cross Channel ferry fell overboard during a trip to France.
The P&O Stena Line's Provence turned around to pick up the 33-year-old man, from Stoke, and launched a rescue craft.
A spokesman for Dover Coastguards said the ferry continued on its journey to Calais and the man was taken to hospital.
The spokesman added: "We were told he was walking around on the Provence after he was rescued and he looked okay."
