Former Dover Athletic player Liam Bellamy charged with robbery in Greenhithe

A former Dover Athletic player has been charged with robbery.
Liam Bellamy 25, from Belgrave Road, Leytonstone, London, is accused of the offence which took place on November 9, 2015, in Greenhithe.
Bellamy who signed for The Whites in June 2013, now plays for Aldershot Town Football Club.
A Kent Police spokesman said: “Officers investigating a robbery which is alleged to have taken place on November 9, 2015 in Greenhithe, Kent, have charged Ian Vincent Foster, 55, from New Barns Way, Chigwell in Essex and Michael Steel, 53, from Chigwell, Essex, and Liam Bellamy 25, from Belgrave Road, Leytonstone, London.
“All three have been bailed to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 11 April.”
Bob Green, secretary of Aldershot Town FC, confirmed Bellamy is still registered with the club but is recuperating following an operation on a playing injury he sustained.
He said: “As the alleged incident happened before he was registered at the club in July 2016 the the club will be making no comment until the end of the proceedings.”
Dover Athletic FC has been approached but the club did not wish to provide a comment.
