Candidates for Dover constituency confirmed for December 12 General Election

Six candidates will fight the General Election in the Dover constituency.
Natalie Elphicke will try to hold the seat for the Conservatives in place of her husband Charlie.
He had been the area's MP for nine years.
Labour is fielding Charlotte Cornell.
Liberal Democrat Simon Dodd and Beccy Sawbridge, of the Green Party, are both contesting the seat for the second time, having tried in 2017.
The remaining two candidates are Eljais Morais, of the Women's Equality Party and Nathan Sutton, an independent.
Nominations closed at 4pm today and were confirmed an hour later.
The count for the General Election, on December 12, is that night at Dover Town Hall.
Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by midnight on Tuesday, November 26.
These can be made online on gov.uk/register-to-vote.
Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Office.
This is at the Council Offices, White Cliffs Business Park, Whitfield, Dover CT16 3PJ by 5pm on November 26.
New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the same address by 5pm on Wednesday, December 4.
