German woman faces illegal immigrants charge

A YOUNG German woman has appeared before magistrates in Folkestone accused of facilitating the entry into Britain of llegal entrants. Tanja Worner, 27, a single mother, from Cologne, failed in an application for bail and was remanded in custody until next Monday, October 8.
Early last Saturday 26 Sri Lankans, 23 men and three women, were discovered by immigration officers who inspected a German hired van when it arrived at Dover's eastern docks. They were found at about 5am on the vehicle which was thought to have travelled from Paris.
