A inquest has opened into the death of a boy found at the foot of the cliffs near Dover on his 12th birthday.
Mati Urb had been going from a walk along the top of the cliffs near Swingate on April 4, with his mother during the school holidays.
At one stage, she realised he was no longer with her, and subsequently called the coastguard.
They found his body at the foot of the cliffs and a post mortem examination determined the cause of death to be traumatic head injury.
Mati was a schoolboy and lived at Damer Gardens in Pinner, Greater London.
His date of birth during the inquest was given at April 4, 2010.
Coroner Patricia Harding adjourned the hearing for a full inquest to be heard at the Archbishops' Palace in Maidstone on June 27.
A tribute has been posted to Mati on memorial website, Gathering Us.
Alongside a picture, the tribute reads: "Mati was a beloved brother, son, friend, and student.
"We are devastated by the loss of this loving, caring, funny, and kind young man.
"Mati was a friend to all who knew him and never hesitated to say hello or help someone in need.
"He will be desperately missed by all who knew him.
"Rest in peace, dear Mati."
