Coastguard helicopter in Langdon Bay area, Dover, in search for missing person

A coastguard helicopter searched cliffs for a missing person.
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency said it had scrambled a helicopter to Langdon Bay, where the White Cliffs of Dover are, last night.
That person was later safely found.
An MCA spokesperson said last night: “HM Coastguard has been assisting Kent Police with the search for a missing person in Dover.
“An HM Coastguard helicopter from Lydd was sent in addition to Langdon Bay.”
Folkestone’s Coastguard Rescue Team and RNLI lifeboat from Dover also attended.
An MCA spokesperson said this afternoon: “The person was found and handed into the care of Kent Police.”
A police spokesperson said: “Officers were in the Dover area on Saturday evening, assisting with enquiries for a missing person who was safely found.”
