A Dover resident has received a false email saying their blood test results suggest that they may have cancer.
Kent County Council's Trading Standards have received reports of a scam email and a company using high pressure selling tactics over the telephone last week.
The council's advice warns people not to open the attachment sent with the email, as it may contain harmful software.
You can find an example of the scam email on Action Fraud website: www.actionfraud.police.uk.
