The curtain will rise next week on Temple Ewell Players’ next pantomime.

Dick Whittington will be performed at the village hall from next Wednesday until Saturday, January 27.

The title role is played by Heather MacDonald with Francesca Revell as her faithful cat Tommy.

In the story, London is swarming with rats, led by the evil King Rat, played by Andy Fellows.

But help is at hand from the good fairy Bowbelles, Sarah Briscombe.

Other main characters are the Alderman (Brian Watts) and his daughter Alice (Rachel White).

The alderman owns a shop run by Idle Jack (Sabrina Smith) and sometimes the cook, the pantomime dame Sarah played by Steve Smith.

There are two other comedy duos, Captain Flotsam and Bosun Jetsam, played by Rob Philpott and John Regan, and the council workmen Shovel and Spade, performed by Dot Simmons and Clare Senior.

Peter Bowley is the Sultan of Mycoco with Faith Campbell and Emily Lomas play his guards.

The chorus consists of Sophie Bridges, Peter Bowley, Faith Campbell, Adele Deakins, Erica Garcia, Eileen Lim, Emily Lomas, Maureen MacDonald, Jenny Olpin, Tanya Rogers and Tonia Watts.

The rates are Fleur Chapman, Willow Creed, Saffron Hartness, Drew Hogben, Lorelei Parker-Morley, Ruby Toptalo corr, Luke Wellard and Ryan Wellard.

The show is produced by Mike Brodie and Musical Director is Paul Booth.

Performances are at 7.30pm each night with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.

Tickets are £3 for children for all performances. For adults it is £6.50 for the Wednesday and Thursday shows and £7.50 for the Friday and Saturday.
