Man, 26, remanded on murder charge

UNEMPLOYED Michael Boyd, 26, of Cherry Tree Avenue, Dover, has appeared before magistrates at Folkestone charged with the murder of 31-year-old civil engineer Nigel Gosbee.
Mr Boyd was remanded in custody and will appear before a judge at Maidstone Crown Court within seven days for a plea and directions hearing.
Mr Gosbee was found suffering from a single stab wound outside his home at Folkestone Road, Dover, just after midnight on Monday. He was taken to the Kent and Canterbury Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery, but died shortly afterwards.
