A man has died after being hit by a grey BMW in the early hours of this morning.
The 31-year-old pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene on the west-bound carriageway of the A20 at Dover at 1.09am.
Police were called by ambulance crews to Townwall Street, and closed the area off until they reopened the road at 7.20am today.

The woman driver of the BMW stopped at the scene and is said to be helping police with their enquiries, but has not been arrested.
PC Jamie Woodhams from Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: "The BMW was being driven away from the area of the Port of Dover, and was then in collision with a male pedestrian crossing the road around 150m from the entrance to the port.
"The male, from Dover, was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The female driver of the BMW stopped at the scene and is assisting us with our enquiries. She has not been arrested."
'I would like to appeal for any witnesses to the collision who have not done so already to make contact with the police by calling 01622 798538.'
