A man has been arrested in connection with a crash that killed a "caring" and "lovely" motorcyclist.
Police investigations are ongoing after Ian Cowell died in a fatal collision near the Port of Dover last week.
Emergency services descended on the scene along the A20 at about 8.45pm on Monday before the motorcyclist, who had been riding a blue Yamaha MT-09, was pronounced dead.
Following the incident, police launched an appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage.
Officers were particularly keen for information regarding a white Audi A7, which was reported to have been in the area at the time of the collision.
A police spokesman confirmed this morning that a 37-year-old man from the Dover area had been arrested as part of the investigation, and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Following the tragedy, tributes have poured in for Mr Cowell – who was aged in his 30s and lived in Deal.
One friend said: "Rest in peace Ian mate, you will be missed, keep on riding up there boy."
His dad Martin posted on Facebook: "You have no idea the hole that is left when you lose someone you love. RIP Ian."
Others have described Mr Cowell as "such a lovely person", a "great young man", a "good friend" and a "caring lad".
Police investigations are ongoing, and officers remain keen to hear from anyone who has information and has not yet come forward.
